As an Affordable Housing Compliance Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our properties comply with all relevant regulations, enabling us to continue our mission of creating thriving and sustainable communities.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING AS AN AFFORDABLE HOUSING COMPLIANCE MANAGER

  • Monitor and implement changes in HUD and LITHC regulations and requirements
  • Manage and supervise occupancy and recertification specialists, including training and performance management
  • Independently review and approve move-in files assuring applicants are income and program eligible for the communities in our portfolios.
  • Participate in file audits to confirm compliance with program requirements including rent limits, income limits, and other eligibility and lease requirements including assuring that overall backup documentation is in place to confirm resident eligibility at the communities in the portfolio.
  • Provide training and support to site staff on answering compliance related questions and program regulations as they relate to occupancy and qualifying requirements on file reviews.
  • Update the file tracker on new move-in files as they are received from the site staff.
  • Assist with updating on Income and Rent limits for sites as needed.
  • Provide guidance, oversite and assistance on new lease-ups.
  • Act as EIV Coordinator and as SAVE Administrator.
  • Assist with PBV Packet submissions as needed.
  • Maintaining proper maintenance of tenant files and computer records to ensure accuracy according to HUD and LIHTC regulations.
  • Determining financial eligibility for all new admissions into the affordable program.
  • Processing new applicants.
  • Monitoring of waitlists, and EIV master binders for compliance with federal regulations and requirements.
  • Assist and review all 8823's corrections and correspondence.
  • Assist in the creation and development of necessary policies, procedures & guidelines, as needed.
  • Monitoring of re-certification notification letters in compliance with HUD and LIHTC regulations.
  • Perform training programs to educate and inform the site teams of requirements and responsibilities.
  • Remain familiar with current U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development ever changing Federal Regulations as they relate to Affordable Housing programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION:

  • $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 /yearly
  • with an annual bonus that is tied to performance

Qualifications

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • 3-5 years experience with Project Based Section 8 HUD, LIHTC and other affordable housing program compliance preferred.
  • Knowledge of HUD 4350.3, EIV, Reasonable Accommodation Requests, LIHTC income limits and rent calculations, Fair Housing, Real Estate Licensing.
  • A deep sense of community awareness and a determination to make improvements.
  • Proven ability to build trust with members of a community with different backgrounds, motivations, and concerns in order to obtain information and solve problems.
  • COS or TCS certification required.
  • You are a technology enthusiast proficient in leveraging technology tools and platforms including Microsoft Office, calendar management, and our internal applicant database software (OneSite).
  • You have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build rapport with ease among our team and residents.
  • You are a goal-oriented leader who demonstrates genuine care and concern for your team, clients, and residents you are committed to the mission of exceeding expectations and providing exceptional service to strengthen real estate value.
