Job Description

Position Summary:

The Director of Construction & Asset Management provides leadership and vision to the strategic planning, design, construction, and maintenance of company facilities. In partnership with Reyes Holdings, this role will support the Senior Director of Operations Support to ensure corporate goals for growth, safety, quality, schedule, employee experience, sustainability, and budget are achieved.

In addition, the position manages the infrastructure for the implementation of emerging technologies for use in operations. The individual works in collaboration with operations, finance, supply chain and HR leaders, as well key stakeholders outside of Martin Brower, to build out and execute against key strategies.

This position oversees capital investment strategies for facilities, and strategic technologies.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

  • Oversee the project management process for all facility work, both expansion and build, and manage capital expenditure projects ranging from $0.5M - $100M.
  • Participate in all real estate processes and projects, including acquisitions, site selection, due diligence, entitlements, design, permitting, construction, close-out, and dispositions, for new design and retrofit.
  • Partner with Reyes Holdings Real Estate & Legal team domestically and internationally on all projects and processes to ensure consistency with internal standards and maximization of internal resources.
  • Develop and manage corporate standards for design, construction, and maintenance of physical assets including buildings, automation systems, and equipment.
  • Establish a cross-company, strategic planning process for maintenance of facilities.
    • Prioritize capital expenditures on a yearly and five-year forecasted basis.
    • Monitor and evaluate operations and budget on an on-going basis.
    • Recommend changes to ensure efficient use of company capital.
  • Ensure all construction projects reflect our people-first and sustainability commitments.
  • Keep project constituents and stakeholders informed and updated on milestones, dependencies, and facility risks.
  • Work creatively and analytically to problem solve through teamwork, innovation, and excellence.
  • Review monthly and as requested progress updates with leadership, Reyes Holdings, and customers.
  • Support new business implementations, including any applicable integration and warehouse modifications to support new business.
  • Advance emerging technologies within Martin Brower operations, to include automation and other technologies.
  • Collaborate with key staff to prepare and recommend annual capital expenditure budgets.
  • Other projects or duties as assigned.
