Responsibilities

Related Midwest's Construction Management Team, LR Contracting Company is seeking a Compliance Specialist. As a Compliance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in overseeing our construction projects and ensuring they adhere to all Contract and Workforce Participation regulations, requirements and company standards. You will work closely with our leaders, project teams and subcontractors to implement and maintain compliance processes throughout all phases of construction. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our projects while promoting a culture of equity, diversity and inclusion.

General Responsibilities

  • Manage the collection of compliance documentation from Subcontractors business and workforce participation meeting regulatory compliance commitments and/or requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of certified payroll regulatory requirements and standards applicable to construction projects.
  • Conduct regular onsite labor audits of construction sites to verify compliance with labor regulations and contractual obligations.
  • Document and communicate compliance issues to project stakeholders and regulatory agencies as necessary.
  • Monitor changes to relevant regulations and standards as well as ensure that compliance processes are updated accordingly.
  • Support the preparation of compliance reports, and other documentation required for regulatory approval.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to compliance activities.
  • Utilize established internal controls and auditing systems to identify, detect, and correct noncompliance.
  • Assist with training initiatives that inform subcontractors about compliance requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in compliance management within the construction industry, with knowledge of City, State and Federal requirements and goals.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Effective communications skills with the ability to interact professionally with internal teams, subcontractors, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and LCP Tracker or Elations, B2G, SkillSmart.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Commitment to upholding ethical standards and promoting a culture of diversity and inclusion.
