Job Description

Reporting to the VP of HIMSS, the Director of Partnerships and Content Sponsorships drives the development, strategy, growth, and execution of all strategic partnerships and content sponsorships for the HIMSS Global Conference and Exhibition (HIMSS GC). This individual will have a strong understanding of the healthcare ecosystem and experience developing and executing ambitious growth strategies.

This role will be crucial to developing and launching new partnerships, including innovative sponsored content offerings, to our customers and partners. This role will require the ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external customers and industry stakeholders that lead to enhancing the business through partnerships both short and long-term.

They must be comfortable taking calculated risks, have strong analytical skills, be culturally savvy, and be successful in a cross-functional, matrix environment. This leader will have experience building relationships, strategic planning, agility, and being a team player to succeed in the role.

Role Accountability and Duties:

  • Manage the discovery, development, creation, and implementation of new strategic partnerships for the HIMSS GC while adding value to the customer experience that drives growth.
  • Develop strategic alliances with key industry associations, relevant third-party organizations, and stakeholders to develop value-based partnerships and content sponsorship opportunities for endemic and non-endemic industry partners and customers.
  • Negotiate and manage partnership agreements, ensuring they align with company objectives and provisions to cultivate a thriving collaboration.
  • Partner with relevant team members, both internal and external, to create, design and implement partnerships & content sponsorship opportunities, resulting in revenue, profitability, growth, and improved customer outcomes.
  • Partner closely with the leadership team and finance to establish growth strategies related to partnership and content sponsorship opportunities.
  • Contribute to new product launches for the HIMSS GC that drive value and growth.
  • Partner with the sales, marketing, content programming and operation teams to achieve success and ensure successful partnerships and content sponsorships are set up for success
  • Oversee new content initiatives to drive growth and value to core and new audiences
Qualifications
  • Bring at least 5 years of vibrant experience in the healthcare industry or similar fields, driving real change and innovation.
  • Possess a robust background of over 5 years in forging and energizing strategic partnerships that elevate our mission.
  • Thrive with at least 3 years of experience in sponsorship and new business sales, showcasing a knack for impactful negotiations and deal-making.
  • At least 2 years of proven expertise in managing budgets with precision and strategic foresight.
  • Demonstrated success in navigating complex matrixed organizations, effectively influencing internal stakeholders to enhance service offerings and platform engagements.
  • Openness to traveling up to 15% of the year, embracing new places and experiences as a way to expand our reach and impact.
  • Exceptionally organized and responsive, you articulate thoughts clearly and compellingly in both written and verbal forms, building robust business relationships effortlessly.
  • Skillfully balance the needs of stakeholders with brand integrity and business objectives, always ready to tackle challenges with innovative solutions.
  • Eager to challenge the status quo, bringing fresh, out-of-the-box ideas and perspectives that redefine possibilities.
  • Salary Range: $140,000 to $160,000 with additional competitive bonus.
