Position Classification Title PT Support Staff
Job Summary

Selected candidate will work in tandem with the marketing team to increase brand awareness, fan engagement and attendance for Billiken Athletics sporting events by developing and implementing marking plans, promotional schedules and ticket sales campaigns as well as all aspects of game presentation (scripts, promotions, entertainment, etc.); The Intern will assist with the daily operational and planning aspects of the event management department. This position will involve necessary coverage for the events in the various athletic facilities. This includes game/event management responsibilities for select sports; assist with outside event rentals; assist with the Atlantic 10 Conference Women's Soccer and Softball Championships.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Personal Characteristics

Demonstrated working knowledge of the correct application of NCAA regulations; excellent organizational, communication and administrative skills; and the ability to work athletic events, irregular schedules, weekends and evenings required. Work schedule will be arranged with supervisor, but often includes evenings, weekends and holidays.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; one to two years of prior event and facility management experience
