JOB DESCRIPTION:

Sherwin-Williams is seeking motivated individuals who have a drive for sales in a business-to-business organization to join our Sales Leadership Development Program. This training program is designed to develop key skills and experience that will lead to a Sales Representative position within our Performance Coatings Group, supporting one of our technical divisions which include Automotive, Coil, EPS, Industrial Wood, General Industrial, Packaging or Protective and Marine.

What you will gain:

* Knowledge and understanding of Sherwin-Williams sales process, business operations, paint products, market segments, customers, and go-to-market strategy

* The training and support you need to excel at sales, customer service, finance, and strategic business planning (or business operations)

* Professional networking opportunities to build cross-functional partnerships with Marketing, Operations and R&D

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in business related field preferably sales or bachelors in degree in science or technical related field, including but not limited to Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science and Corrosion Engineering

* GPA of 2.7 or higher on a 4.0 scale

* Previous experience in sales and/or customer service obtained through real work experience or internships

* Drive to be in technical sales

* Must be open to relocation based on business need for training, post program position and promotional opportunities

* Ability to travel overnight, approximately 60-70% of the time

* Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver's license

* Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship

* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

* Experience using customer relationship management tools such as Salesforce

Other Qualifications:

* Must be able to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs for short distances (think a large bag of dog food!)

* Some travel to other locations, meetings and/or seminars is required.
