YOUR DAY TO DAY LIFE

We are looking for a Benefits Analyst in 401 N Michigan Ave, Suite 1400, Chicago, IL 60611 USA. Your mission will be to:

* Must have experience managing leave of absences
  • Administer all company benefits programs, including health and welfare plans, retirement plans, leaves of absence, disability and voluntary benefits.

  • Serve as a liaison between Merieux NutriSciences and third party benefits administrators and carriers in supporting Merieux's benefits programs including problem resolution, plan eligibility and compliance requirements.

  • Facilitate new hire orientation/onboarding.

  • Assist with the annual enrollment process.

  • Ensure the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS to provide carriers with accurate eligibility information.

  • Perform ongoing audits of benefits related data.

  • Assist managers and employees regarding benefit plan questions, claim issues, enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries.

  • Draft, distribute and/or update all benefits materials, communications and plan documents.

  • Effectively interpret FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities.

  • Responds to 401(k) inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution amounts.

  • Reconcile 401(k) contributions per pay period.

  • Process carrier invoices.

  • Perform other job duties and projects as assigned.

YOUR PROFILE

Required:

  • Associates degree in HR or related field of study, but experience and/or training/certification may be substituted for education.

  • Two years experience in HR and/or benefits administration.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR or related field of study.

  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification.


Required skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proven organizational and time management skills.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google's G Suite or similar software.
