Job Description
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work with vendors to purchase goods daily
  • Develop, change and implement policies and procedures as they pertain to the Purchasing Department
  • Assist in monitoring and controlling costs and helps insures budgeted food costs meet set goals.
  • Insure compliance to USDA guidelines and GMPs

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a Buyer (Food, Perishables, Consumer Goods experience preferred)
  • Proficient knowledge of the Supply Chain Process (purchasing procedures, inventory/production/cost reduction initiatives)
  • Understanding of menu breakdowns and menu costing
  • Proficient with computer purchasing software and Excel
  • Must have good communications skills and be able to work with other departments
