About The Opportunity
In this critical position, you will oversee the daily operations of our facility in Aurora, Il. Reporting to the Sr Director, you will be responsible for process strategy ensuring productivity, quality, and safety. You will work to meet internal goals, exceed expectations of key customers and drive continuous improvement efforts. If you are looking for the next step in your career, you are ready to take charge, and want to be a part of a lean focused, best in class company, please read on.Job Duties:- Establishes operational strategies to assure company objectives in the areas of safety, productivity, quality, customer service, sales, human capital, cost and profitability.
- Accountable for key performance metrics including machine and labor efficiencies and provides guidance to departmental leaders
- Proactively monitors site capacity and collaborates with other sites on scheduling optimization to meet internal and external customer on-time-delivery demands
- Conducts equipment feasibility studies and makes recommendations for investment; works with Finance to prepare capital expenditure plan and is accountable for payback expectations
- Collaborates with cross-functional leaders to set continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence
- Prepares and manages the annual financial plan and monitors performance through forecasting and/or other company reports
- Ensures the overall maintenance and security of facilities, grounds, utilities and equipment
- Provides guidance on staffing, training, employee relations and performance management to develop and enhance the Operations function, working closely with direct reports
- Interacts with key stakeholders to provide technical support, explore new business opportunities, and/or resolve order problems or complaints.
- Leads and champions value adding programs that support an environment around continuous process improvement.
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience required
- Knowledge of methods, accepted practices, considerations and regulatory requirements associated with safety and protection of workers, environment and site
- Knowledge of the processes, tools and operational considerations for effective and efficient movement of goods and materials throughout the manufacturing cycle
- Knowledge of day-to-day and strategic issues, operational requirements and management of a manufacturing facility
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Power point programs
