Job Description

The Editor-in-Chief & Head of Global Content Strategy is responsible for editorial calendar and partnerships resulting in thought leadership and content. This role will lead the Thought Leadership & Content Steering Committee that will be comprised of senior commercial leaders (Sales, Customer Success and Marketing). This role reports to the Head of Thought Leadership (SVP).

Along with the Editorial Board responsibilities, the EIC would be responsible for setting the strategy for global content that maps to the organization's goals/AOP and reflect topics that drive client growth and elevate NIQ insights and solutions. The EIC monitors the company's content and maintains an appropriate level of editorial and methodological integrity. The EIC will work with thought leadership & content team (plus data analyst staff) to initiate new reports, new content formats and unique editorial content.

The EIC will also work in collaboration with commercial group and product marketing teams to set short and long-term objectives and strategies for content. The EIC will work directly with subject matter expert authors to help them shape their content as needed. The EIC will work on forging strategic partnerships - to develop notable thought leadership platforms (whitepapers/webinars/panels) - with consultancies, economists and other global leaders.

Additionally, the EIC will manage a small team of content writers and managers. The EIC will ensure that authors understand the need to balance fast turnaround with thorough and accurate review and will work with them to achieve those objectives. Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree (English, Journalism, Communications or related field)

* 10+ years of related content marketing experience

* High personal/editorial standards

* Previous editorial experience, especially in a decision-making capacity

* Knowledge of Media/Advertising and/or FMCG space and those working in it

* Keen understanding of effective content channels and formats including: social, video, print, etc.

* Energetic and committed

* Excels in interpersonal communications/Effective in a matrixed environment

* Effective and positive communicator

* Strong leader, good sense of teamwork

* Ability to work effectively with diverse viewpoints and approaches

* Firm and prompt decision-maker

* Explores and embraces innovative technologies
