Job Description
Position Title: CNC Lathe Set Up Operator - 2nd Shift
Wage: $25.00 - $28.00/hour
Shift: 2nd
Hours: 2:30pm - 11:00pm (Training on 1st - 6:00am - 2:30pm)

CNC Lathe Set Up Operator Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints and bills of material (BOM) to determine complex setup procedures, tooling, settings and sequences
- Choose, align and mount fixtures, tools, attachments, accessories or other materials to the machine
- Program and edit multiple CNC lathe machines by entering commands so the machines perform the correct functions
- Prepare and load materials onto the machine
- Operate and monitor machine, check coolant and oil levels, fill as needed
- Use measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, thread gages, gage pins and tape measure to conduct inspections during the production process and verify products meets specifications
- Maintain productivity at levels that match or exceed production standards
- Communicate with Production Cell Supervisor on all issues related to discrepancies on drawing or BOM
- Work with Maintenance department on performing or scheduling routine maintenance
Requirements for CNC Lathe Set Up Operator:
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least five years of hands-on experience operating and setting up CNC lathe machines
- Certification or additional CNC training
- Able to read, understand and interpret complex blueprints, mechanical drawings and other written material
- Knowledge of Fanuc, Mazatrol and Siemens
