Our client located in Nashville, TN is seeking a Director of Business Developmentto join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career and join a dynamic team in the automotive industry!

The Director of Business Developmentis a direct hire opportunity with a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities:
  • Channel Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive channel development plan and activity to drive revenue growth (price, volume, product position), expand / develop sales in new/existing channels, and strengthen the brand's new product success in the North American market with consumers and sales partners.
  • Partnership Development: Identify and establish strategic partnerships with automotive retailers, distributors, online platforms, and industry influencers, OEM data providers to expand our product capabilities and sales opportunities.
  • Product Development Support: Collaborate with the product development team to identify market trends, customer needs, and product opportunities, providing insights and feedback to inform product development decisions.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and industry stakeholders, understanding their needs and requirements to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Business planning & development: Build and deliver the annual business, sales, & resource plan in collaboration with finance, sales channels, and central resources.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial development or business development roles within the automotive industry, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Deep understanding of the North American automotive market, including customer preferences, competitive landscape, and industry trends.
  • Strong business acumen and action-oriented mindset, with the ability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and market insights to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and proactively drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.

Salary: $110-208k/year
