The Counseling Center, located in the Driehaus Center, is part of the Student Life division and an integral partner in the University's health and wellness initiatives.
The Director plays a key leadership role in strengthening connections between the Counseling Center and other departments across the University through the coordination of services and activities that support the wellness and well-being of SXU students.
The Director is the University's chief mental-health care advisor, and provides direct clinical service in addition to administrative responsibilities, and supervises a diverse, multi-disciplinary team of mental health professionals.
The Director reports to the Dean of Students and serves as a member of the Student Life Leadership Team and the University's Care Team, among other integral groups that require a mental-health educational perspective.
