Job Summary:
As an Internal Communications Senior Manager, you will partner with a variety of internal clients to develop and execute powerful communications that manage change, create engagement and drive a positive and productive organizational culture. This role will help proactively identify internal communications opportunities and elevate communications. You will bring a holistic view and approach to this role through your insight into the firm at large along with deep knowledge and understanding of the business.
Job Duties:
Firmwide Communications
- Works closely with teams across the firm to understand their needs, vision, goals and challenges, becoming a trusted advisor and valued resource
- Develops and executes engaging communications plans that drive awareness of key firm initiatives and campaigns and inspire professionals to take action
- Researches and writes impactful and engaging content for internal news site and edits the work of team members
- Leverages a variety of communication channels, including but not limited to the intranet, email, an internal social media platform, voicemail and video
- Supports crisis or time-sensitive communications with confidence and a sense of urgency
- Brings innovative ideas to create or enhance internal communication channels and processes
- Other duties as required
Strategic Communications
- Works closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, vision, goals and challenges, becoming a trusted advisor and valued resource
- Utilizes change communications best practices to ensure a steady drumbeat of communications with a cohesive narrative, identify and segment audiences with unique messaging, deliver a multi-channel approach
- Conducts final review of any communications before publication
- Leads the development and execution of strategic communications plans that promote engagement and facilitate adoption of new processes, technologies and ways of working
- Works with key leaders to help them share their vision and voice
- Develops communications, including but not limited to talking points, emails, voicemails, videos, presentations and internal collateral materials
- Develops communications for the firmwide audience to bring awareness to changes and progress, promoting successes and introducing new and updated services
- Leverages internal change champions at the local level by supporting them with actionable communications and resources
- Supports key conference calls/meetings through strategic agenda development, presentation guidance and sharing key takeaways
- Works with stakeholders to continuously assess progress made against goals and adjust strategy and plans accordingly
- Other duties as required
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Oversees the day-to-day contributions of team members, as needed
- Monitors and provides performance feedback to indirect reports throughout the performance year, as needed
- Serves as a coach/mentor, supporting the career development and performance of team members, as applicable
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree AND seven (7) or more years of related strategic internal communications, journalism, marketing, or public relations experience, required; with a focus in Communications, English, Journalism, or Public Relations, preferred OR
- High School Diploma or equivalent AND fourteen (10) or more years of related strategic internal communications, journalism, marketing, or public relations experience, required
Experience:
- Change management experience, preferred
- Prior experience working in a professional services environment, preferred
Software:
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, required
- Advanced knowledge of Word and PowerPoint, preferred
- Knowledge of SharePoint and OneDrive, preferred
- Knowledge and understanding of content management systems, preferred

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an understanding of AP style guidelines; active listening skills; solid editing skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

- Knowledgeable about emerging communications trends and tactics
- Ability to take complex thoughts and synthesize them into clear and concise communications for a variety of audiences
- Experience with change management principles
Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.
National Range: $120,000 - $140,000
California Range: $120,000 - $140,000
Colorado Range: $120,000 - $140,000
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $120,000 - $140,000
