Job Summary: Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor and or Maintenance Manager will follow all established procedures and policies while producing a product that meets or exceeds available standards while prioritizing safety, quality and efficiency to meet the goals of the company.

This is for a 3rd shift position, i.e. night shift.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct general repairs & maintenance to facility and grounds as assigned
  • Perform assigned duties with minimal supervision
  • Respond and perform assigned duties in a timely manner per work order program
  • Perform assigned duties following "GOOD MANUFACTURING PRACTICES".
  • Attend Daily Production Meeting if required.
  • Maintain records and logs as required.
  • Support change over and start up of assigned area.
  • Support SQF through the monitoring of incoming services.
  • Maintain the Calibration Program.
  • Support SQF by maintaining the Preventive Maintenance Program.
  • Support SQF by completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner.

Job Qualifications:

  • GED or High School Education
  • At least 3 years experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a manufacturing environment
  • Basic computer skills (ie. Word, Exel, etc.)
  • Excellent troubleshooting experience
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Multi-task Individual
  • Ability to work independently or with little supervision

Physical Demands

  • Standing: Long periods (up to 8 hours)
  • Sitting: occasionally for short periods
  • Walking: Long periods
  • Bending & Twisting: Frequently
  • Lifting: Heavy (50+lbs))
  • Carrying: Heavy (40-60lbs)
  • Pushing:/Pulling: under 75 lbs. without assistance frequently

SQF Requirements / Responsibilities

  • Maintaining food safety and food quality through completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner
  • Report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action
