Job Description

Client Account and Performance Measurement Analyst II is primarily responsible for administering the Cavanal Hill services delivered to clients. This includes interaction with external clients, investment managers, auditors, sales team members, and consultants. Serves as quarterback to client by delivering expertise of Cavanal Hill Administrative and Operations personnel relating to a variety of issues such as, but not limited to, the account opening process and strategy assignment. The Client Account and Performance Measurement Analyst II analyzes, develops and implements solutions for complex client and departmental problems and issues. The Client Account and Performance Measurement Analyst II also supports the process of complying with the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS), which is under SEC purview, and acts as a subject matter expert for performance measurement related issues and projects. Generally, works independently, with direction from the Manager, Client Services/Performance Measurement.

How You'll Spend Your Time
  • You will effectively manage and administer Cavanal Hill client accounts. Anticipates service needs and handles exceptions; performs complex research, develops solutions and communicates resolutions and enhancements to client.
  • You will orchestrate the transition of new Cavanal Hill clients including large and complex account relationships; communicate with custodian and new client; coordinate transfer of data; coordinate other documentation regarding the account opening. Research any issues, problems or disputes for accounts or investment manager issues for Cavanal Hill accounts, including those issues at the highest level of complexity.
  • You will analyze and prepare reports for client investment review meetings. This includes compiling analytical and report information; reviewing information for accuracy. Research and correct any data issues.
  • You will support the process of complying with the GIPS standards by implementing GIPS compliant policies and procedures, create and distribute GIPS information and reports, and working with third party vendors and systems to achieve compliance in an efficient manner.
  • You will act as one of Cavanal Hill's subject matter experts on performance measurement issues and projects by analyzing portfolio return calculations, writing and testing performance report specs, and offering solutions to complex performance measurement needs.
Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's Degree and 3-5 years related experience or 7-9 years equivalent experience. CFA CIPM designation highly recommended.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of accounting practices and principles in order to effectively evaluate the suitability of investments for clients of portfolio managers and other institutional clients. Possess the ability to present persuasive findings in presentations and whitepapers.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of performance measurement standards, securities and investment related products, tax implications on client performance analysis.
  • Extensive knowledge of the requirements of CFA Institute standards and a sound understanding of the principles and practices of Global Investment Performances Standards
  • Advanced knowledge of asset allocation and modern portfolio theory and contribution analysis
  • In-depth knowledge of investment management practices, including different types of strategies and styles, statistical/analytical reporting and attribution analysis.
  • High level understanding of mathematical and statistical impacts to investment analytics and performance measurement.
  • Experience with software applications, including expertise in Word, Excel, Access, SQL and analytical tools, and performance measurement applications.
  • Superior oral, written and communication skills, including interpersonal skills
  • Ability to relay highly complex information and analytical data to upper management in order for them understand the factors behind recommendations and to allow for their input in challenging projects and workflow processes.
