Job Description
Position Title: Production Welder - 3rd Shift
Wage: $21.43 per hour
Shift: 3rd
Hours: 7:30pm-6:00am
QPS Employment Group has a great Production Welder opportunity at a company in Quincy, IL. This is a 3rd shift position with the opportunity for hire.
Production Welder Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist with welding tanks/ products.
- Set up, operate, and tend welding machines that join or bond components to fabricate metal products.
- Position cylinder/ components into stationary fixture at specified angle and distance from work piece.
- Read blueprints, work orders, or production schedules to determine product or job instructions and specifications.
- Inspect work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Use hand tools and welding equipment.
Production Welder Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for a duration of 8-12-hour shift.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis.
- Must be able to twist on a repetitive basis.
- Must be able to work in a hot environment.
- Must be able to work in a loud environment.
- Previous experience preferred.
- A high degree of attention to detail is required.
- Must be able to pass QPS' screening policy.
- Must be able to take direction from leadership.
