Job Description

Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager for our Google Cloud Migrations team. This role will oversee a great team that executes on all of our Google Workspace migration projects and handles account provisioning into Google Workspace. In addition to maintaining the current high satisfaction levels for our migrations projects, this role will be expected to improve on and expand the migration opportunities and processes at CDW. This role will also work closely with large customers to scope and manage custom or large-scale Google Workspace projects that are dependent on migrations. This position will report to the Sr Manager, Delivery and will work with other department leads to ensure successful delivery of all of our Amplified Services portfolio.


Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Provide support and direction to the team to ensure project timelines and customer success is achieved.
  • Coach and review staff performance and provide feedback for further training to support an environment of growth and development.
  • Scope, quote, and manage small to large scale Google workspace migration projects.
  • Develop best practices, processes, and standards for effectively carrying out data migration activities.
  • Prepare data migration plans and project documentation including migration risk, milestones, quality and business sign-off details.
  • Manage assigned risks and monitor potential impacts as part of the data migration plan.
  • Identify and promote opportunities for long-term customer engagements.
  • Build and maintain positive relations with the key clients, third parties and all key stakeholders.
  • Coach/mentor clients in best practices for product implementations, adoption, and ongoing support.
  • Manage and report on key business KPIs ie: Customer Satisfaction, Time to Deliver, P&L, and COGS.
  • Work with the product team to develop new service offerings, products, and pricing.

Other Responsibilities

  • Lead scoping of SOWs for migration engagementsStay current on Google Workspace for Education changes and modificationsAssist in escalating issues to Google's support team and engineers

Education and/or Experience Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science,Information Systems or related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience in addition to the required experience requirement (Background as a Technology Director, Technology Coordinator, or similar role also considered)
  • Familiarity with GCP
  • 5 years experience leading, selling or managing migration projects
  • 2 years experience leading a migrations team

Required Qualifications

  • Expert knowledge of Google Workspace Admin Console
  • Project management experience with a strong working knowledge of large scale high-risk projects
  • Experience managing teams and large-scale projects
  • Experience in a sales role scoping technical projects
  • Fluent understanding of mailflow & DNS

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of CloudM platform and tools
  • Working knowledge of Google Cloud Platform
  • Outstanding organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong internal communication
  • Able to Identify customer needs and ability to anticipate their needs
  • Convey technical information and recommendations clearly and concisely
  • Optimize workflow and process efficiencies
  • Promote and guide customers towards long term and recurring engagements
  • You have previously worked effectively with remote, distributed teams
  • Google Deployment Specialist Certification, GCP Certification or Google Admin Certification
