Job Description
Job Title: Mac Support Desktop Technician
Location: North Chicago, IL - Onsite
Duration: 24 months
Pay Range: $28 - $30/hr
What are the top 3-5 skills requirements should this person have?
1. MAC Desktop Support experience in a corporate environment (Not ideal to be coming from the genius bar, but would consider it)
2. Mac OS should be their bread and butter, if they have Windows experience great, but Mac is the most important.
3. Experience with all Apple devices. Primarily Macs, but also iOS devices, iPads, and iPhones.

3-5 years of Mac support experience.

What is a nice to have (but not required) regarding skills, requirements, experience, education, or certification?
* Experience working in a managed Mac environment.
* JAMF experience a big plus.
* Apple Certifications are good to have but not required. More important is a thorough knowledge of the macOS an especially how it operates in an enterprise environment and an agile brain.
What type of environment is this person working in? Lower level- tech room at AP30 - team environment.
Work Schedule (Define days,# of hours)/ Is Overtime offered or required? If yes, how many hours, what impact to scheduled working hours? Standard 40 hour work week- M-F
Does this position offer the ability to work remotely on a regular basis or is it an on-site role? If remote opportunity exists, what are the options (i.e. 1 day remote, 4 days on-site)? 100% Onsite
Is the worker onshore or offshore? No
Will there be Domestic and/or International Travel? If yes, list proposed countries and % of time travelling: No

- Experience working in a managed Mac environment. JAMF experience a big plus.
- The ability to work and communicate with a wide variety of skill levels: designers, scientists, executives, and executive assistant.
- Multitasking and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Good decision making, quick learner, the ability to retain information.
- Methodical troubleshooting skills
- Apple Certifications are good to have but not required. More important is a thorough knowledge of the macOS an especially how it operates in an enterprise environment and an agile brain.
- Example of issues that this person would be troubleshooting include but are not limited to: FileVault issues, password related issues, certificate/keychain issues, app issues (particularly Outlook and OneDrive), OS errors, and all issues that can occur with Macs working in an AD environment.
- Local travel across client campuses; mileage will be reimbursed
