Job Title: AWS Cloud Engineer

Work Location: 404 Flowering Magnolia Drive, O'Fallon, MO 63366

Hours/Week: 09:00 a.m. - 05:00 p.m.

Job Duties: Perform daily monitoring, management, troubleshooting and issue resolution for systems and services hosted on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud network; analyze and monitor AWS services for performance, availability and key metrics to optimize software and system performance; design, manage, and maintain tools to automate operational processes; participating in planning, implementation, and growth of our infrastructure on Amazon Web Services; work as part of a team to design and develop cloud data solutions; analyze cloud infrastructure and recommend improvements for performance gains and cost efficiencies; grow AWS infrastructure with a focus on Linux implementations; establish best practices for standardized and automated deployment of Linux based instances in context with security, backup, redundancy, and performance; prepare documentation for configuration and install procedures; create scripts for system administration and AWS using languages such as BASH and Python, created Lambda functions to upload code and to check changes in AWS services; migrate old linux servers to AWS Cloud services; automate monthly report through python scripts; develop and implement cost reduction plan of AWS account chargers. Requirements: Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field. Six months of experience as an AWS Engineer; prior experience must include monitoring AWS services for performance and availability; analyzing cloud infrastructure and recommend improvements for performance gains and cost efficiencies
