Job Description:

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Manages Program procedures, providing supervision to clinical staff who provide therapy, intake, assessment, and referral. Supervises staff and coordinates activities with related corporate and community programs. Plans, develops, organizes, directs, monitors, and evaluates programs and activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • .Provides administrative supervision and consultation to assigned staff.
  • Performs administrative tasks including interviewing and hiring new staff, completing performance appraisals of staff and overseeing staff development compliance.
  • Facilitates staff training for Access staff, hospital and update training information as needed.
  • Monitors staffing and provides adequate coverage.
  • Monitors and participates in the data collection, recording and reporting of program measures related to budgets and related contracts/grants and performance measures.
  • Responsible for the due process necessary for pre-certs.
  • Monitors staff participation in prompt and adequate communicating with insurance following specific communication protocol with specific agencies as well as Documentation entered in Managed care and clients comments.
  • Maintains quality assurance standards by preparing for chart audits, compiling and reporting peer chart reviews and overseeing the collection of client satisfaction surveys. Provide on-going feedback to management.
  • Organizes and conducts treatment team meetings and provides guidance/resources to staff on an ongoing basis.
  • Manages daily operations of department programs, to include needs of the department determined by the department manager.
  • Reviews and works on improving processes and procedures for the inpatient continuum.
  • Attends regular meetings with other departments, to include finance and hospital, to ensure Access procedures positively impact and provide continuity with all departments.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Experience working with families involved with child welfare.
  • Disciplined, organized, good communication skills, and calm in a crisis.
  • Highly motivated, self-directed and excellent management and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to understand and manage program budgets and contracts.
  • Excellent writing and verbal skills for report writing and communication with community resources.
  • Prefer knowledge of local mental health, substance abuse, criminal justice, veteran and community resources.
  • Preferred knowledge of addiction treatment (Motivational Interviewing), trauma-focused treatment, crisis intervention and dialectical behavioral therapy.
  • Strong background in the provision of Evidenced Based and Evidenced Informed Trauma services and practices preferred.
  • Requires excellent problem solving skills and ability to assign tasks to others as well as collaborate with internal and external departments and agencies.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education Level

Requires a Master's Degree in Human Services/Mental Health field.

Years of Experience

Two years' admissions experience. Management experience required.

Entry Pay Range:

$40,102.00 - $56,202.00
