Job Description:

Airbus US Manufacturing Facility is looking for a Head Of Supply Management to join our Procurement Department based in Mobile, AL

The Head of Supply Management, FAL Mobile manages the Ordering team in FAL Mobile and is responsible for securing the on-time delivery of the components ordered from FAL Mobile. The Head of Supply Management is instrumental to ensure alignment with the different Ordering organizations in Airbus Commercial (deliveries, processes, tools, etc.)

Your working environment:

Nearby on 'Airbus Way' you will find the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. The facility, which strengthens the U.S. aerospace industry, is part of Airbus' strategy to enhance its global competitiveness by meeting the growing needs of its customers in the United States and beyond.

Your challenges:

Lead the Ordering team in FAL Mobile (70%):

* Daily management of the team using existing business tools and future digital means:

Anticipation of risks and drive mitigation actions

Demand and forecast control

Communicate effectively to internal customers and external suppliers

Manage Supply Chain priorities

Challenge Supplier performance

Lead & Drive Supplier recoveries

Understand and define the optimal ordering characteristics and strategy

Specify and use of process automation

Use data management tools to drive decisions in the supply chain

* Interact with transnational suppliers on management level (remotely and/or at suppliers' sites) and proactively operate in a procurement community as partner to the Supply Chain Quality Manager and Commercial Buyer on forming the link between the Airbus Procurement organization and FAL Mobile.

* Be the first point of contact for supply chain queries from internal customers.

* Act on behalf of the Head of Procurement Operations, US FALs, on delegated topics (30%):

Education:

* Required: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.

* Preferred: Master Degree in Engineering or related field.

Experience:

Required:

* 7 years of relevant experience

Preferred:

* 5 years working in the Aerospace industry

* 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role

* Demonstrably effective communication skills including fluency in written and spoken English.

* Ability to function as an effective member of an international team including flexibility and initiative.

* Proven skills as a problem-solver and a record of meeting deadlines and completing tasks on time, on budget and at an acceptable level of quality

* Good interpersonal skills, be able to negotiate and manage conflicts of interests

* Experience in establishing and cultivating relationships with internal and external customers

* Versatile person with proven ability to work in changing environments under time pressure.

* Knowledge of airline operations, practical aviation experience, or flight operation experience is advantageous

* Overall aircraft knowledge or the ability to quickly adopt technical insight

* Know the Airbus 'P' and 'O' organization and its processes

* Program management skill-set to lead the internal organization to ensure contractual commitments, customer satisfaction, cost and revenue targets

* Capability to create a strong and trustful business relationship and management of internal customer expectations. You believe in listening to the customer, as much as being able to give clear explanation and resolve potential issues

Communication Skills:

Required: Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills in English.

Technical Systems Proficiency:

Required: Microsoft Office or Google Suite

Preferred: SAP

Complexity of the Role: Able to influence decisions of key stakeholders in FAL Mobile and Airbus SAS. Able to coordinate cross-functional activities within Airbus and/or with suppliers. Leader of a team composed of 5 people. Able to reach agreements within Airbus function as well as with suppliers in urgent, critical situations.

Level of Decision Making:

* Decision maker in case on team conflicts related to Quality compliance status of Propulsion systems

* Ensures compliance to Quality standards and application regulation (EASA, TCCA, etc.) on Ordering topics

* Drives process harmonization across FALs and Programmes in Airbus.

* Represents the Voice of the Customer (Airbus and Airline customer) for his/her perimeter

* Manages a team of 5 people.
