ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is Hybrid (Remote & Fox LA Lot).

The Business and Data Platforms team builds and grows enterprise-scale technologies to support operations across FOX. The Senior Director, Technology will collaborate with business stakeholders and technology colleagues to design and implement Forecasting & Optimization solutions to help drive Ad Sales revenue growth, minimize the liability, and increase the productivity of the Ad Sales operations.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Apply CPLEX and other optimization tools to solve complex planning problems at scale

  • Collaborate with Ad Sales stakeholders and the Ad Sales technology team to understand business requirements and formulate mathematical models to solve complex forecasting and planning problems

  • Integrate Operations Research techniques and Machine Learning algorithms to enhance product intelligence and decision-making capabilities

  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels to understand how optimization and forecasting tools can address the demands of their jobs

  • Design impactful and elegant dashboards and reports that provide access to meaningful data from across the enterprise and deliver insights

  • Refine workflows and data integrations to modernize and streamline operations

  • Ensure adoption of new processes and technologies by engaging with end-users and stakeholders consistently throughout the lifecycle of projects

  • Collaborate with business analysts, architects, developers, and quality assurance engineers to bring designs to life

  • Manage vendor relationships with technology providers: scope engagements, guide delivery to achieve quality expectations, own budgeting and billing

  • Support the development of roadmaps and tactical plans to achieve strategic goals

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Operations Research, Machine Learning, and optimization technologies

  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior Operations Research Scientists and software engineers

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Solid understanding of optimization techniques, operations research, and forecasting techniques and algorithms

  • Solid understanding of data science and deep learning foundations

  • An advanced analytical and business background is required (graduate degrees in a technical field and MBA strongly preferred).

  • A passion for problem-solving and continuous learning

  • Experience designing technological applications geared towards large employee or consumer populations

  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to:

    • communicate complex ideas clearly using everyday language.

    • facilitate meaningful conversations (understand requirements, uncover value-added features, and align expectations) among cross-functional teams.

    • effectively leverage various media: emails, presentations, process flows, high-level data diagrams, and wireframes

    • design reports, dashboards, and information flows.

  • A history of demonstrating the responsibilities, skills, and attributes described in this job description

  • Adaptability; comfortable in a dynamic, ever-changing environment

  • Familiarity with agile concepts including backlog management and retrospective

NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER

  • Experience in the media or entertainment industry is a plus

  • Experience with the Ad Sales and Ad Tech industries is a plus

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $185,500.00-268,000.00 annually for California. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
