The Job at a Glance

As the Maintenance Technician, you will perform maintenance and repairs of mechanical systems in our distribution center. This role includes preventative maintenance and troubleshooting for a wide range of material handling equipment to support safe and efficient operations with a primary focus on the goods-to-person system. You will conduct hands-on maintenance work with vendors to service and maintain DC equipment and the facility. The pace of our growth requires this team member to thrive in a high-energy fast-paced environment with safety as our #1 priority!

A Typical Day

  • Support a safe work environment by identifying and resolving equipment related safety concerns
  • Perform preventative maintenance including the servicing of conveyor, picking carousels, grid cleaning/inspections and other tasks as required
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on common distribution center material handling systems including powered conveyors, sorters, trash compactors, balers, etc.
  • Meet with 3rd party contractors on repairs to HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, backup generator, fire suppression, etc
  • Act as a responder for problems with fire/sprinkler systems, standby generators, and mechanical or system outages at the facility or in the Distribution Center
  • Meet with team members to address operational maintenance and safety issues promptly.
  • Work to maintain inventory levels and consumable supplies to support office and distribution center operations

To Land This Opportunity

  • You have fantastic communication skills & you're proficient in English (verbal and written)
  • You demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment and seek further training and certifications as needed
  • You havethe ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform 8 or more hours of standing, bending, lifting, walking and carrying products in combination at any given time
  • You ideally have Mechanical experience in the distribution center environment
  • You are looking to work Monday through Friday from 12:00pm to 9:00pm and can work Saturdays as needed.
  • If you are familiar with a Maintenance Management System or have mechanical experience, it's a plus!
